AutoMed opened its doors in Goldsboro, North Carolina in 2021 with a simple but powerful idea — that drivers in Wayne County deserved an auto repair shop they could actually trust. Founded by Jonathan Harris, AutoMed was born from over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry. Jonathan previously owned and operated multiple auto shops, and when the time came to forge his own path, he built AutoMed from the ground up as the sole owner. No shortcuts, no compromises — just honest car care done right.

Jonathan is the first to tell you that AutoMed’s success isn’t his alone. The heart of this shop is Master Mechanic William “Buddy” Holland, a nearly 30-year veteran of the auto industry and the man Jonathan calls his right hand. Together, Jonathan and Buddy have built a team and a culture rooted in three things: honesty, trust, and loyalty. Those aren’t just words on a wall here — they’re the standard every vehicle and every customer is held to, every single day.

Mark Wright

Mark brings over 30 years of automotive experience to the AutoMed team. A dedicated professional and family man, Mark is married with three children. Outside of work he enjoys reading, listening to music, and spending time at the beach.

Michael Waddell ASE Certified Technician

Michael Waddell

Michael has over a decade of hands-on experience specializing in heavy mechanical repairs across all makes and models. ASE certified and known for his sharp attention to detail, Michael is a key reason our vehicles leave the shop running right. Outside of work he enjoys time with family and tackling hands-on projects.

Callum Tillman Technician

Callum Tillman

Callum has 5 to 6 years of experience and handles everything from alignments and brakes to tires and oil changes, while also keeping the shop and grounds running smoothly. His versatility and strong work ethic make him an essential part of the AutoMed team. When he’s not in the shop, Callum enjoys spending time outdoors.

Justin Ekberg Diagnostic Technician

Justin brings nearly 20 years of experience to AutoMed as a diagnostic technician. A U.S. Navy veteran, Justin brings discipline and precision to every repair. A proud father of two and a longtime Denver Broncos fan, his expertise spans just about every diagnostic challenge that comes through our doors.
